A Message from the President
After a long winter (in terms
of both the weather and the economy) it's a pleasure to welcome spring.
The news is reporting an upturn in the economy, and nature is
starting to spring back to life. So,
of course, our minds are focused on...Christmas.
While
you’re developing your Christmas promotions, remember that Shopsin is
here to help you. Our job is to make your products or your customers’ products look and sell
better than the ones across the aisle or down the shelf. We do this by constantly researching and developing new
custom paper, film, and foil laminations. If something is new on the market, chances are you can get it from
us.

Featured Product
In this issue of Highlights,
we're introducing a new look in optically active decorative film - the Fresnel lens. Originally developed to concentrate and magnify light in lighthouses, the technology is now available to brighten up a wide variety of packaging formats.
The grooves used in embossing this film are much deeper than those used in holographic
patterns, yielding a more reflective and compelling appearance. As with our holographic
patterns, the Fresnel lens products bend,
curve and diffract the light to create the visual effect. The lens is both reflective and light diffusing, and ambient
light seems to dance in any retail setting.
As with all our products, the attached sample is just one variation of the many ways you can
utilize this
material. The Fresnel lens film can be produced in a wide array of colors to enhance
the depth and movement
of the visual effect, and it can be mounted to various thicknesses of SBS
board to yield the base stock that’s right for your end use.
